The Basingstoke Amateur Operatic Society (BAOS) was formed in 1922 as the Thornycroft Amateur Operatic Society and has been performing high quality musicals and operettas for local audiences ever since. We normally stage one production a year at the Haymarket Theatre in Basingstoke.

9th - 14th February 2009

Preparations are well underway for our forthcoming production of 'The Gondoliers', one of the best known and most enjoyed of Gilbert & Sullivan's repertoire.

Calling all members and ex-members!
Are you a member of BAOS, or you have been a past member? Do you have any pictures from any of the shows? If so, we would love to see them! Please contact us, or talk to David in rehearsals about what you have!
Not interested in being in the limelight?
Our shows require more than just people willing to be on stage to perform. We always need dedicated people to help behind the scenes to get the show on stage, and to help it run flawlessly. If you fancy scenery building, prefer to do painting, assist with costumes, lighting or sound, have other technical skills or would simply like to get involved backstage (oh, and also have a laugh at the same time of course!), please contact Andy
